Several years ago, l’Association des Charron et Ducharme inc. initiated a research program in France. Its objective is to uncover as much information as possible about the forebears of our ancestor Pierre Charron, born in Meaux, province of Brie in France. Our members already know that this research program has produced much more information than was originally hoped for.

The Board of Directors created a research fund for this very purpose on August 3, 1998. The fund is known as the Émile Ducharme Fund in honor of our first vice-president. The fund is used to finance genealogical research, a major objective of the association, most notably research in France. Research in France obviously is way beyond our means and professional competence. An account of the sums collected appears in every issue ofle Trait d’union.

Members and friends of the Association who wish to contribute to this fund may send a cheque payable to the order of "Fonds Émile Ducharme " and sent to the Association at our postal address.
