Why should you become a member of Les Dumas d'Amérique?

• because you are yourself a Dumas or a Dumas descendant
• because you are interested in the Dumases
• because you want to join the extended Dumas family
• because you want to have the opportunity of meeting every year Dumases with whom you share a common ancestor
• because you are interested in the history of the Dumases
• because you think it is important to support genealogical research, the research on the history of Dumases, and the publication of the results of this research

These are all good reasons to join in. Les Dumas d'Amérique is open to all Dumases or Dumas descendants living on the American continent, and to their spouses. To become a member of the association, all you need to do is to fill in the subscription form below and send us the subscription fee. On reception of your subscription, you will be given a membership number and will then remain an active member of the association provided you pay the annual contribution fee.

The subscription year runs from July 1st of the current year to June 30 of the next, as the general assembly meetings are normally held on the last week-end of June. The annual subscription fee is of CDN$30 (or US$30). A contribution equal to or higher than 20 times the annual membership fee will grant a lifetime membership.

Children under 18 and spouses of the members are automatically considered as members as far as participation fees to the association's activities go. However, only the official members have the right to vote in the general assembly meetings.
