Pointe-au-Père's lighthouse: is the second highest in Canada and the symbol of the St-Lawrence pilotage organisation created at the beginning of the Colony. The Lamontagne house: a unique architectural site in Canada, built around the years 1750, is the oldest house in the east of Quebec and the only specialized interpretation center on domestic architecture in Quebec. The regional Museum in Rimouski: is situated in the center of Rimouski and located in the oldest stone church East of Quebec. The "Gates of Hell" canyon: From the highest footbridge in Quebec, admire an imposing panorama. You will find interpretation paths, viewpoints and a staircase of 300 steps to go to the bottom of the canyon. There are stories of the "drave" (wood-floating downriver to a mill) , an almost forgotten trade of our ancestors from 1825 - 1963. The House of Recollection: is a log cabin built according to our ancestors techniques of more than a hundred years ago. You will also find a scale model of "Village Ste-Blandine" around 1900. Bic Provincial Park: is a spectacular collection of islets, reefs, cliffs sculted by the sea and the centuries. In 1535, Jacques Cartier spent a few days in Bic. Under the French Regime, Bic was an important Harbour and even after the conquest by the English, James Murray, second english governor of Canada legislated rules concerning the piloting on the St-Lawrence. It was the first legislature of that type in our Country and Bic was the piloting station for the St-Lawrence River. Our Churches: Close to 20 churches were built within a radius of about 20 kilometers; they are still the witnesses of our ancestors'faith and culture. The parise church of Rimouski was built in 1829, St-Anaclet's in 1859, Sacre-Coeur's in 1875 and Ste-Luce's in 1840. This last one has been classified an Historical Monument in 1955.
