GÉNÉALOGIE

Genealogy

For years, many people have gathered genealogical data on the Tremblay Family. Eventually, a genealogical dictionary was published. Major contributors to this body of work were André Tremblay and Meüde Tremblay. After Meüde's death, all his work was given to the Association. One of the major goals of the Association was to publish this dictionary.

The Family data were all on notecards created mainly by André Tremblay and Meüde Tremblay. The Association hired people to enter all those notecards into a computer database. The final result is a file containing over 67,000 weddings from 1657 to the present with at least one spouse bearing the name Tremblay. Each file contains the following information: spouses' names along with parents' names, wedding date, place and names of previous spouses if needed and/or available.

A genealogical research service is available for direct line ancestry, for Tremblay bearers to the first ancestor. Contact us for costs or  other information. A title of ancestry is given free of charge to every person of patronymic Tremblay who becomes life-member. By taking into account the value of the title of ancestry, the contribution of life-member  corresponds to an equivalent contribution of only six years.
