The Association of Roy Families of North America is a non-profit organization made up of members who have a special interest in the history of the surname Roy in line with the Association’s aims.
AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION
Form an association of all those interested in the Roy families and their descendants.
Organize meetings and trips to discover and explore the history and genealogy of its members.
Manage a fund for archival records (printed, graphic and computerized) of all families whose original North American ancestor had the surname Roy.
Produce and distribute a newsletter (Les Souches) and other publications as well as promotional items for the Association.
Provide a genealogical help-service to members.
The Association of Roy Families of North America offers a genealogical search service to both members and non-members who are unable to do their genealogical research themselves.
Research Service Offered:
Direct Ascending Lineage
Such research involves finding the family ties, through birth and marriage, that link a person, through each of his or her direct ancestors, to the one who came originally to New France.
We will provide you with a document containing the names of the spouses, the names of the parents of both spouses, their trade or profession (if available), the date, parrish and place where they were married.
Fees:
members : 50 $
non-members: 100.00 $
Calculation of Payment
Each request must include a deposit for a direct lineage search i.e. the minimum initial amount of 50.00 $ for members or 100 $ for non-members. If we are unable to find a generation, we will keep 10.00 $ for administrative costs and reimburse the rest of your deposit.
(Payment should be in American dollars for countries other than Canada.)
