This website is dedicated to the Rodrigue families who are descended from five of six Rodrigue ancestors who emigrated to Québec, Canada, from Portugal and Spain during the XVIIth, XVIIIth and XIXth centuries.

You will find on this site a page which presents some explanation on the origin of the surname Rodrigue, as well as on the origin of the five Rodrigue ancestors upon whom we focus our attention; there is also a more detailed biography of João Rodrigues (Jean Rodrigue), the first one of these ancestors and the one whose descendants are the most numerous.
