OUR ANNUAL GENERAL
ASSEMBLY 2010
The 2010 General Assembly of the
Racine Families’ Association was held after lunch at l’Institut de tourisme
et d’hôtellerie du Québec on Sunday 8 August 2010.
The Association’s President, Jacques H. Racine, welcomed everyone to the
meeting. After the adoption of the
agenda, the President invited the Secretary, Mr. Gustave Racine, to read the
minutes of the 2009 meeting, which were accepted.
The President then thanked Roger Racine and Yolande Huppé, and their
supporters Jean-Paul and Jean-Louis Racine, for having organized an excellent
2010 reunion.
Yolande Huppé thanked everyone for attending.
The President then announced that the 2011 reunion would be held in
September in Ottawa Ontario and that he would undertake to organize the reunion.
In the absence of the Treasurer, the President then presented the
financial statements for the preceding fiscal year of 1 June 2009 to 31 May
2010. The financial statement were
approved by the members.
When it came to the election of members of the Administrative Council, Mr.
Denis Racine rose to announce that he wished to resign from the Council.
This therefore meant that 6 positions had to be filled, five positions
for a three-year term and one person to finish the remaining two years of
Denis’ term. Six candidates were
nominated and each accepted to be a Director.
These were: Jacques H. Racine, Gérard Racine, Anne-Sophie
Guimond-Racine, Pierre Racine (Valleyfield), Céline Racine-Paquette and Monique
Chevrefils.
The
General Assembly then adjourned for a few moments while the new Council met to
elect its officers for 2010-2011.

then announced at the resumption of the meeting:

In addition, the members of the Executive Committee are: Jacques H.
Racine, Céline Racine-Paquette, Pierre Racine (SAB), Gilles Dupont and Gustave
Racine.
