COMMEMORATIVE PLATES TO THE ANCESTORS (in Quebec)


 
  • Two commemorative plates to the Morissette ancestors were unveiled during the 2002 Gathering held in May 2002 on the island of the ancestors Jean Moricet and Jeanne Choret.


  • The commemorative plate to the ancestors Jean Moricet/Morisset and Jeanne Choret is made of stainless steel and  was unveiled in the presence of Bishop Pierre Morissette during the 2002 Gathering held in Ste-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Qc. on May 18 and 19/ 2002. The plate is now installed in the Parc des Ancêtres which is adjacent to the presbytery and the church of Ste-Famille, the parish where they raised all their family up to their death.

  • The commemorative plate to the ancestors Mathurin Moricet/Morisset and Elisabeth Coquin is made of bronze and was unveiled during the 2002 General Assembly in the presence of about 100 members attending the assembly. The plate is now installed inside the church of Neuville where they get married Jan. 9/1690.
