Robert Lévesque and his era, 1642-1699 (book)

ISBN 0-9685826-1-3
Author: Ulric Lévesque
Published in September 1999
Cost $20

The Levesque Association Inc. has launched, on September 4, 1999, a book entitled Robert Lévesque and his era, 1642-1699. The 150-page volume, written by Ulric Lévesque, La Pocatière, QC, and translated by Don Levesque, Edmundston, NB, gives an overview of the life of this ancestor who arrived in Rivière-Ouelle, QC, in 1672. His large descendance has spread throughout Northeast America.

The goal of the book is to appreciate better our ancestors Robert Lévesque and Jeanne Chevalier. The book corrects misinformation, adds discoveries, asks questions and points to several areas of interest for future research. All of the information is documented.

The book deals with the lives of Robert Lévesque and Jeanne Chevalier and describes the large domain acquired by Robert Lévesque over the years. The author also introduces the immediate family of the ancestral couple and explains Robert Lévesque's difficult succession. Five appendixes complete the book.

The 150-page book (6" x 9") introduces the reader to complete or partial reproduction of 21 documents, 13 maps (some never published), 39 photographs and several tables and drawings.
