On october the 6th 2001, at the annual Association meeting in Charlevoix, was officially launched, the new bilingual genealogical dictionary from Mr. Yves Gaudreau of Montreal. The data is split by family branch. One book deals with the family of Francois the Acadian, one for Gilles and two for his brother Jean, both brothers from "Ile de Ré". There is also one for Louis. Both Louis and Francois's books also contains the same appendix which shows over 4,000 marriages that have not yet been linked to a source. The two books for Jean each relate to one of his two sons. One is for Jean-Baptiste including both of his mariages (Genevieve Bernier and Francoise Richard). The second is for Charles and his wife Madeleine Thibault)
Furthermore, each book gives a brief biography of the head of the branch and recent discoveries from "Ile de Ré" relating to ancestors of Gilles and Jean.
This data represents a great deal of work, more than 20,000 Gautreau marriages gathered into 5 books. Make a clik on PRICE for more informations.
