Goals
According to the rules of the AFG, Association's Mission is:
1- To promote genealogical research.
2- To develop awareness of our ancestors.
3- To ensure the protection of the Gareau's patrimony.
4- To pool our genealogical or historical information.
5- To incite the monographies writing.
6- To communicate the history of our origins.
Structure
The AFG is comprised of an Executive and a General Membership.
The executive includes a president, two vice-presidents and a secretary-treasurer, and can be supplemented with any additional member the executive may choose to add. The executive manage and carry out the day to day association business between each General Assembly, call the General Assembly and implement the Assembly's requests.
The General Assembly is formed by the entire membership who are the ultimate authority of the AFG.
