Our genealogical data bank now consists of approximately
21,700 entries, out of which 8,300 Frigons. We are in a position to be able to determine
the lineage of most Frigons. Therefore, we can provide
a family tree for members who request one.
There remains much work to be done on the lineage of the American and Australian Frego, Fregoe, Fregon, Fregone, and Frigone cousins who, like us, are descendants of François Frigon dit Lespagnol and Marie-Claude Chamois. Our ancestor's son, Jean-François, married twice. From his first marriage, with Madeleine Moreau, came two sons who, to the best of our knowledge, had no male descendants:François Marie (1700-1789) m. Marie Jeanne Deshaies, 4 daughters Claude Joseph (1703-1775) m. Marie Jeanne Leblanc, no known descendants. Thus, the agnatic descent (male lineage) of Jean-François Frigon passes through his second marriage, with Gertrude Perro. For those who would like to make their family tree, the following are the first six generations of agnatic descendants. |
