ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Deschambault,  Saturday, August 27, 2011

Theme : A Glimpse of Our Countryside

This year’s annual gathering will take us into the countryside, to Deschambault. The village was built on Cap Lauzon, a promontory overlooking the Saint Lawrence River. The magnificent view reminds us of the early founders, especially since numerous historic buildings stand in proud tribute to the “heroic times”. It is in this extra ordinary setting that our lecturer, Jean-Pierre Chartier, geographer and author of an outstanding study on the land grants in the Champlain area, will speak to us on the subject “Locating the land of our ancestor”. He will also talk about Batiscan and the Frigon ancestral land.

In addition, a guided tour of several historical sites of Deschambault, including the old Chevrotière Mill, will certainly satisfy the curiosity of all. So, we have a date to meet at the Paul-Benoît Community Centre at 106 rue de la Salle, close to the church, on August 27th at 9 A.M. A warm welcome awaits you!

We have enclosed a detailed programme as well as a Registration Form. You will be most welcome, along with your family, for all or part of the reunion. If the experience is a pleasant one for you, you might even want to join our Association.
