President's word,

Dear Members,

Since a few months now, the board of directors is working on the preparation of the next annual gathering which is held every year on the last weekend of the month of August. This year, the twelfth gathering will be held in Assomption on Sunday, August 28, 2011. Please reserve this date right now to give us a chance to meet and participate all together to many activities which will be detailed in the next bulletin. I take this opportunity to thank Nicole Faucher who is in charge of the gathering organizing committee and Gilbert Fau-cher who assists her in her many tasks.

I am also pleased to inform you that on Ja-nuary 15, 2011, Jean-Guy Châteauvert (member number 167) joined the board of di-rectors. On behalf of all the members of the board of directors I welcome Jean-Guy who is responsible for the recruiting. You will find his coordinates on page 14 of this bulletin.

You will also be pleased to know that the Association des Faucher et Foucher (Châteauvert, Saint-Maurice) was represented at the Salon des familles souches du Québec at Place Laurier, Ste-Foy, on February 25, 26 and 27, 2011. Our participation to this event allowed us to welcome two new members. I sincerely thank the six volunteers who ensured a continuous presence at our kiosk : Réal Faucher (74), Gilbert Faucher (58), Jean-Guy Châteauvert (167), Martin Châteauvert (199), Gabriel Faucher (55) and Yves Saint-Maurice (221).

I am reminding you that everyone could recruit another member. Don’t hesitate to refer us future members.
