the Governor of Québec

François Dumas, son of Charles and Anne LEMAIRE, was born around 1636 in Paris, in Saint-Sauveur parish. He worked as a guard of Jacques René BRISAY, Marquis de DENONVILLE and Governor of Québec when he married Marie du MONTMAYNIER (or MONTMÉGNIER), the daughter of Michel and Isabelle LARIVIÈRE, ON 25 NOVEMBER 1687.
