MARATHON DES FAMILLES-SOUCHES SSQ

L'Association des Familles Bérubé inc. is recorded in SSQ Founding Families Marathon to be held on Sunday, August 24, 2008 under the the SSQ Quebec City Marathon.

A historical relay marathon... a 2+3 formula

In this unique and historical 42.2K realy marathon, two participants will walk or run 2k, and then hand out the family banner to the next particpants and so on until the 39th kilometre is reached. At that point every member of the association will join in for the last 3k . Thus, the 44 members of each association will cross the finish line together.

All persons enrolled in the Marathon of the founding families must go to the park of "L'Anse Brown" (Brown's Cove) depending on the scheduled assigned to them at the time of the handing out of the T-shirt. Starting from the gathering point at "L'Anse Brown" the participants will be transported, as they come, towards each relay stations by bus.

Once their portion of the relay is completed, the participants will be brought back towards the gathering site to await the last duo.
