    The GenForum is hosted by Genealogy.com.     This French forum is hosted by the Groupe Notrefamille.com.

    It is a French Canadian forum. The registration is obligatory but free.

  4. The web site Ancestry.ca

    You could look for certificates of birth, marriage and death of your ancestors at a monthly or annual cost. Ancestry.ca, Canada’s leading family history website, offers members access to 128 million searchable Canadian family history records.
    Launched in 2006, Ancestry.ca's historical record collection reflects Canada’s multicultural heritage and enables members to explore their family’s history using Canadian and international records including the Canadian censuses, passenger lists, English, Welsh and Scottish censuses, birth, marriage and death records as well as user-contributed family trees, and by connecting to millions of other members making their own discoveries.

  5. The new site of the Drouin Institute

    The Drouin Genealogical Institute was for a while the most important company performing genealogical researches in Quebec.

  6. The Research Program in Historical Demography PRDH

    The PRDH project relies basically on exhaustive gathering of data from the parish registers of old Quebec. By systematic attribution of baptism, marriage, and burial certificates to the respective individuals – a "family reconstitution" made on the basis of names and family ties – people are identified and their biographies established. PRDH’s data base, covering the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, thus contains the personal history of the Quebec ancestors of all French- Canadians.

    The federated search engine offered on this page was launched and is maintained by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ). Library and Archives Canada (LAC) partners with BAnQ to oversee the evolution of this project which is also supported by the Council of Provincial and Territorial Archivists (CPTA) of Canada.
    The search tool, free of charge and available in French and in English, leads to genealogy and family history databases hosted by federal, provincial or territorial archives centres and libraries, or by other partners.
