2004 Annual Meeting

To celebrate the 325th wedding anniversary of Damien and Jeanne, widow of Jean (Pierre) Soucy dit La Vigne, the "Association des familles Bérubé inc." and the "Association des familles Soucy inc." will hold their next meeting at the College Ste-Anne de-la-Pocatière. In fact, the act of marriage was signed on the 22nd of August 1679 at L'Islet.

All Bérubés are invited to reserve the weekend of the 20th, 21st and 22nd of August 2004 in order to participate in this fraternal reunion.

La Pocatiere is located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence river, 130 km (80 miles) east of Quebec City and 8 km (5 miles) west of Rivière-Ouelle. The network of roads, navigations and railroads which serves this region follow the most important communication axis of Eastern Canada such as:

• The Jean Lesage Highway (Trans Canada Highway 20)
• The Canadian National Railway connecting the Eastern region of Canada
• The St. Lawrence River, flowing towards the Atlantic ocean, leads to the marinas of Montmagny, St-Jean-Port-Joli and Rivière-du-Loup.
• For air travel, Quebec's International airport is located 140 km from La Pocatière. The cities of Rivière-du-Loup and Montmagny each have regional airports.
