Then, you have a chance of finding who your ancestors were !

Here is how to find out:
Go to the Belanger web site in the USA, "Belanger Family Home Page"
(To do so Click on the word Research at the bottom of this page
Once on that site, click on the section "SEARCH REQUEST"
All you then have to do is fill in the very simple form.)

If your search was fruitless,, Then You must carry on the research by yourself.
You may find a list of places  in the Association website, in the page GENEALOGICAL SOURCES
where you can start your search; If unsuccessful,
You still could contact "L'Association des Familles Bélanger Inc."

and ask for the name of a person that can help you  with your research.

Of course, this search may require a fee for services.

The knowledge of genealogy has required a large amount of time and money invested over a long period of time, on the part of those that possess it. This is the reason that genealogist, volunteers or not, and genealogy associations, which exist as a result of the work done by volunteers, request some token fees from those requesting genealogical information contained in these data bases .

Should you have a desire to have research done by a genealogist, either in the Bélanger line or some other family, a financial agreement  must be reach to ensure pleasant experience by both partie. It is normal that such a charge be made, which may be more or less costly depending on the extent of the research. In these   kinds  of research project, it is expected that the genealogist receive  $30.00 as compensation for time spend  to initiate the search. If it proves fruitless, the money will be kept by the genealogist for the time  spent.. On the other hand, if there seems to be a possibility of a successful search with added costs, an understanding as the possible cost should  be reached between the two parties.
