Gules (red) represents the French origins of the Auclairs.

The falcon (gold) is the main element of the coat of arms of Aunis, the French province from which the Auclair’s originated.

The house (gold) alludes to the settlement of the Auclairs in New France and the continuation of the ancestral bloodline. This house depicts the one built by the ancestor Pierre.
The two fleur-de-lys represent the two ancestors Pierre and André.
The vert (green) background refers to their occupation as farmers.
