The web site of la Société d'histoire du Haut-Richelieu presents some pages in English that could be consulted by English speaking people.

It offers :

1. the map of the Upper Richelieu
2. the maps of the localities included in its territory.

The Upper Richelieu counts twenty (20) localities. Each one is presented separetly.
One map shows the ranges of a rural community or the streets of an urban locality.

Another page presents :
the report of archeological researches done in 1999 at the foot of Mont-Saint-Grégoire, that located the foundations of Sir John Johnson's family vault built around 1790.

Our Society specialized in genealogical researches. We help people whose their ancestors left Québec for the United States at the end of the nineteen^th century

Pretty soon, we will have a page giving the ascendances - descendances - family charts of people that lived or still living in our area - the Upper Richelieu.
